Author Variables in CSS

Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to define and use own variables
in CSS (e.g. for color codes). If yes, what is the syntax to use that?

No. But if you're using server-side programming, you can use the same
technology to generate your CSS files dynamically just as you generate
your HTML dynamically.
