How do I control the font, size, color etc. for the numbers in an ordered
list? Without changing the list content.

I'm afraid you don't. You could set properties for the <ol> element, but they
would apply to the list items as well. This could be overridden by using some
markup inside <li> elements to set their content to suitable property values,
but this would mean changing the list content.
