I sure mangle french too :D In fact, I often sees foreign people speaking
and writing french better than me... damned. It"s a very nive language but
pretty hard.

I didn't find even in my french-english dictionnary the word "merkins", so I
can't understand :/ Someone to explain that to me please ?
