Opera 7.23 link color fails on ccmeonline

My Opera 7.23 in Windows XP will only show the links as
black on gray. Not recognizable as links, although they
work as links.

I assume this is a css problem (possibly the mouseovers).
This happens on the off-line saved pages as well as on line.
Numerous other web sites show normal link color behavior.

I have tinkered with all the Opera options I can find.
User Mode styles is unformatted, but the links are ok. It's
the Author Mode styles that fail.

Have in mind that on *all* other web sites the links are normal.
And MSIE, NS, Mozilla, Firefox all show normal link colors on
this ccmeonline.org site.

It's my Opera versus ccmeonline. Any ideas?

You probably don't have "My Link Style" checked for Author mode. Opera
provides nolink style by default, you need to set what it should do and
check that box.

Ok. Thanks. That fixes that web site. But that seems to mean the author
doesn't get to set the link colors. With bad luck, his choice of link
background could hide his links: my blue links on his blue background.

And how come only that one web site has the problem?

Must all web sites suffer from *my* choice of link style?

Well, Opera does this kinda weird. Apparently, what you're setting there
is what the default should be. If the author asks for something different,
it will happen.

Don't feel bad, this confused the hell out of me until i figured it out.
