I've just started with forum designing and I would greatly appreciate
it if you would critique my forum, Ethereal Eclipse (
http://z7.invisionfree.com/Ethereal_Eclipse/index.php ). Ethereal
Eclipse is an RPG fansite that focuses on the more popular RPGs such
as Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts but there are also other topics
geared towards other favorites. We also have a large general section
with a growing Role Playing area. Thank you for your time and effort!

Javascript errors (getu not defined)

Incredibly small flyspeck font. <looks/> 9 or 10 px is stupidly small and is
not resizable on the most used browser without invoking accessibility
options. There is no reasong for such absurdity as the page scales quite
well to a more readable font size, except for the google ad of course but
who cares about that? Never *ever* clicked one myself.

I looked no further except to note that you have never validated this.
Nobody is going to do much critiqueing of source that does not validate.

I like the colors. I am a RPG fan myself and did not know that this
site existed., most likely due to the fact that it just started up. :)
There are, however 98 errors on your page.

I'm not in your target audience, though I have played an RPG or 2. Keep
that in mind...

The thing that struck me immediately was text colors. The glaring bold
white text about affiliates almost blinded me, while the low-contrasting
body text on the rest of the page is very hard to read. A tiny type size
makes the readability problem worse, though the minimum text size
setting in my browser prevents it from being totally unreadable.

One thing you really should do is put that embedded stylesheet into an
external .css file. It will make everything load faster, since it will
be cached after the first load.

I've fixed the blinding white and made it a darker color like the rest
of font, as well I've increased the size a bit. Does that help? And
I'm not sure what you mean by an external .css file. How would I go
about doing that? Thank you so much for your input! I really
appreciate it!

You mean you reduced the contrast to what Bergamot alrady pointed
out was hard to read because of low contrast?

Why give it any size at all (other than 100%)?

Put everything between "<style ..." and "</style>" in a separate
file (e.g., ee.css), and replace the entire STYLE section with:
<link href="ee.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
