Author Update of Critique of Website
LH

2006-07-10, 11:07 pm

Since originally asking for a critique of my website and getting lots
of excellent feedback... I'm back for more. I know all of the code is
not 100% compliant but I will be updating that this week. I've used
most of the suggestions that were given to me - would you take a second
look?

Thanks.

On the splash page there is an empty menu on the left that pushes the
main content off the screen to the right.
The viewport width is about 840 pixels.

Have you fixed it up yet? Please post back when we should take another
look.

Hi - I've not fixed it yet but am looking for the CSS tag which would
keep the right side (other) off the center regardless of the settings
of all monitors. I do not want anything to overlap or wrap... still
looking. thanks for your patience.

Better, yes.

Some pages are missing a background color; I see my ugly default purple.
Are you not using the same style sheet throughout?

The splash page is stuffed to the left. <g>

hmmm.
The style sheet determines the background color so I don't see how some
are missing it.. but I believe you. The only place there "could" be
the default purple is on the "postcard.html" page down at the bottom -
correct?

RE: splash page - yes... I'm just baffled as to why it won't center but
will keep at it.
Thanks for taking a look. I still have a lot of work to do but your
comment "Better, yes" gives me hope.
Thanks.
