Hi yo folks,
I don't know yet the correct method to apply US S508 P1194.22 M to pdf
links. Some speaks about object tag application/pdf, others about link
to adobe. Cynthia said ok, but webexact give me this sad error, I did
not try any solution yet. Anyone can help me?

Anyway, critiques for my new beta www.armonyo.com are welcome.

Don't know about your PDF stuff, but your font-size - at 70% - is way
too small for normal reading. Once I increased it to 130%, it was
legible.

You also have a lot of repeat, unnecessary stuff in your CSS. Assign a
body font-size: 100% and get rid of all the others, including the 70%.
Such small fonts are really hard to read when white-on-black.

If 100% looks too large for *you*, adjust your own browser but leave
mine alone. 100% is your visitors' default size.

You have arial after the generic fallback in the body { }, should be
before it.

Thanks for suggestions. I'll tuning all for the best possible
compromise, keeping in mind my taste and my primary target of audience,
and however text-broswing and resizing is possible as well. Please,
could i know details about your browser and screen resolution?

Your target audience: surely you aren't implying that every person
interested in a photobook has significantly better-than-average vision?

> and however text-broswing and resizing is possible as well.

You really have no idea or control over what kind of browser environment
your visitors may be using. Huge monitors set at 800x600 because they
are nearly blind, little PDAs on the train to work, 15-inch/17-inch set
at whatever the computer store left it at...

Firefox ... Opera ... OffByOne ... SeaMonkey ... K-Meleon ... Mozilla
.... WebTV (ok, not WebTV) ... or whatever I happen to be playing with at
the moment, and at whatever window size I've decided to stretch or
reduce it to.

Screen resolution is totally irrelevant.

You should list the download size of the .pdf files.

Of course not, my goal in personal and professional web design is to
improve the effectiveness and serve the maximum number of visitor in
different way with validated (max validation possible as default) and
accessible (max accessibility if requested) websites. However this
photobook is a micro part of the content planned...it's just for start.

I agree, but what's the point? I said you can browser it with links and
looks pretty good (I saw some linux screenshots by my friend) (I use
firefox plus opera/Ie for development (I have no time to play with all
the browsers), you can resize as well in graphic mode (just some firefox
ctrl++, it's easy, don't u?)...of course it's impossible looks perfect
on every platform (starting from fixed design) and be good design, if
not make an specific version for every different platfom or groups with
common points, where is the problem? ;D

The best choice could be make 2 or 3 version, a full graphic version, a
full handheld graphic version and an accessible fluid version. In my
case it's useless, just a waste of time.

Please ^^, how screen resolution could be really irrelevant. There's
difference when I browse at 1600x1200 in my 19" and 800x600 in the same
19", or in my second 1280x1024 or third 1152x864 (trihead look). Of
course I do not speak about windows size. Just simple combination
between screen resolution and monitor, it changes everything.

Do not you like the title in the a href? I thought about it, but title
in the link is not bad, but ok.

This ng is good ^.^ Keep this way.

It's irrelevant to you, the web designer. There are too many variables in
the mix for you to concern yourself with. The best thing you can hope to
do is set the majority text size to 100% of the users' preference, and use
liquid layouts.

I can't do that, I hate liquid layouts, not good for my style...however
I did an, Accessible liquid high contrast b/w 100% font-size version
with accessible switch, take a look ;D

New suggestions are welcome

Light text on dark background is always harder for me to read, and
justified text in narrow columns always creates ugly rivers of white
space. It always seems to look worse with enlarged text sizes, too.

So I much prefer your Accessible style, though a very pale background,
not quite white, would be less glaring.
