Hello all,

I have just released a new tool for web developers. The site is called
HowsMyPage.com. It allows you to get free reviews of your web pages,
written by other web developers.

HowsMyPage.com works by asking the user to submit the URL of their
page, then to review someone else's page using a structured review
form. In this way everyone gets the feedback they need.

You didn't put much thought into this, did you?

- Anybody can get a free review from other web developers just by coming
to this newsgroup. duh. But you probably think you're posting in some
private google forum instead of usenet, eh?

- There is another free service that has an actual checklist of things
to look at/for, independent-testers.org. I'm not saying they are the
best service of their kind, just that they have at least put some
thought into it.

As is, your service is pretty useless. Sorry.

BTW, your page does not validate, is full of ugly deprecated markup, and
is generally all-around bad, plus you didn't set a page background
color. Thumbs down to you. ;)

Hi kchayka,

Ouch. Not easy reading but I do appreciate the feedback. I will have to
sort out the main page (and others) so they validate. Should have done
that before I released it. My bad ;)

I'm glad to say that besides the occasional exception, feedback has
been very positive.
