Hello,
I was told by Bonnie Granat that this is the place to come to get a
cold, hard look at a website. She said that the people in this group
can help a lot when it comes to critically looking at my site and
giving an honest evaluation. I look forward to any and all comments on
ways to imrover my site to gain customers...my site is
www.wanderingwolverine.com
Thanks in advance...

"We offer a variety of editing services including: copyediting
proofreading...

"He has worked, in history related positions for such institutions as
the Henry Ford Estate, the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village,
and Wayne County Parks."

"Under Dr. Donn Werling (Director - Henry Ford Estate), he was able to
work on projects related to the interpretation of history."

"At Greenfield Village, giving historical tours and teaching people
about life in the past is something that Craig has a great passion for
and it provides an interesting perspective compared to writing about
historical topics."

"This opportunity was a dream come true and their hope is to continue
to publish meaningful material in the future that makes a difference
in the lives of many."

I probably wouldn't hire you.

The site is, uhhh, not so good:
Pictures are resized in HTML instead of in a picture editor
Coding is bad
Design is bad
Bonnie has received advices and assistance in this ng for about 1478 times.
Ask her for some advices.

Boring, boring, boring.

You say you provide "website content review", so you should have one
helluva website.

Quite frankly, I wouldn't use your services based on what I see right
now.

If I were you, I'd have someone whose native language is English rewrite
your copy. Or, maybe anyone who has been to and completed successfully
some formal schooling.

This one-page site is a small disaster. Also, why would you build a little
page like this in Frontpage.?

The whole thing just screams unprofessional. It won't get you any business
as it is..

Pls excuse my frankness -- just didn't see a reason to beat around the bush,
and don't have the 30 minutes to write about everything that's wrong with
it..

<meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 4.0">
That's part of your problem. Get rid of FrontPage.

Sorry, but your site is ugly. There is no cohesive design other than the
bright blue "frame" around the content. I can't believe you have a
graphic designer on your team.

Different fonts and text sizes on every page. Way too much bolding.
Enormous graphics resized in HTML take way too long to download. Cheesy
clipart.

Run-on sentences. Long, unbroken paragraphs. Less than perfect spelling
and grammar. Lousy typography. Who would hire your editing services with
all these errors?

Your web site should showcase your talents. Yours doesn't.

Nico,

He's not my client; he is on a mailing list that I am on. I sent him to
this newsgroup to get help for his site, which appears to be a
different site than the one I initially saw. I thought that one was the
one he was going to ask for help on. I had told him it was not good
because it was all graphics, and I told him he could check out what I
had to say by coming here and having you all look at it as well.

You didn't see his original site, and you don't know how much time have
alredy put into helping him or what I have already told him -- both
about the original site and the editorial problems. Your kindness,
Nico, will be remembered.

Hey Edwin! You're not so active anymore here. A pity for the newbies who you
always assisted so much. Too busy in your new job in Almere-Buiten?

Just curious, but why are you replying to six-week old threads, that
already have a number of answers?
