| I hope you will be gentle, at least I have it validated.
There are a few links that aren't correct, but I'm working on those.
I'm not entirely thrilled with the colors (but that would be another
group?)
This is my first CSS page and I still don't understand all of it.
Thanks

The HTML is fine. Now go to one of the deisgn groups and they'll critique
the design .... :)
One note, though - by including the CSS inline you have eliminated one of
the main benefits of CSS, which is linking.

You should get your facts correct. You say:
"The Yankees are baseball's most dominant team at every position. They
have won a record 22 World Series and 33 AL pennants..."
The Yanks have won 26 World Series and 39 AL pennants.

Is this your only page? All the links seem to lead to other sites. If
so, ok. If not, move your CSS into a separate file and link to it.

Took a really fast peek. The real problem is the left column is fixed due
to the image, so the other two have to smush way too much. That's a
problem with the basic design. That image must be made smaller or have
very narrow content next to it. As it is, it's impractical.
Oh no, I think I just saw Jeter. I have to close it up, sorry.
