Since this is a website on web design I assume that you are in fact a
spammer and won't read any responses.

How likely do you think it is that you'll get business from spamming
fellow designers/coders?

OK, Just mousing around ...

GOOD: You have thoughtfully put your telephone number in both national
and international format. This makes it a lot clearer for those who
are overseas.

1. You have an automated mailto link. This is likely to get you a lot
of spam. A friend's email address exposed on the web like this gets one
message every 6 minutes.

2. You have quite a number of link styles, and it is not obvious that
some of them are links. My PERSONAL preference is to make links
underlined (even when the mouse is nowhere near them). Now lets see
....
1. Image links (some probably OK, but do they have alt text?),
2. Image links which are just words - why not just use text links?
2a. Blue image links,
2b. Orange image links,
2c. Blue image links that have a mouseover that underlines them
3. Orange text links with no underline [mouseover makes them
underlined]
4. Blue text link, underlined
5. Grey text link, not underlined [mouseover underline]
3. Fixed left margin, wasted space if your screen is smaller
4. INCONSISTENT: The orange image-based headings are links in the
default (index.htm) page, but are not links in the contact page. They
look the same, this will be confusing to some.

I've put my (spammy) email address into the field and pressed ENTER. It
sends me to the contact page. If I have a concern about the
subscribing procedure, I'll let the group know separately.
Enuff for now.

Nick Bishop.

Top posting is not appreciated here, trimming quotes is, corrected this
once. Btw, don't multipost.

Ok bro, here ya go:

Good:

1) Looks nice
2) Images appear to have proper alt content.

Bad:

1) www.crottaz.com is missing the required http:// prefix.
2) Legacy Transitional DTD, newly authored documents should use Strict.
3) Your html doesn't validate.
4) Meta tags containing useless metadata.
5) Mix of upper and lower case code: bad style, choose one.
6) Tables used for layout, don't, use css.
7) More good coding style: quote all attribute values.
8) Presentational html, don't, use css.
9) <span class=bleu> best not use presentational class names.
10) Fixed width design, let it adapt to the user's window width instead.
11) Javascript links: don't.

Well I thought it was a subscribing procedure ...

I haven't got anything in that email address. What's going on here?

!

I posted some useability comments previously.

I also ran it through HTML Doctor (at
http://www.doctor-html.com/RxHTML/ , then press SINGLE PAGE )

GRAPHICS
========
The main thing is that your graphics are either missing ALT text or
HEIGHT/WIDTH numbers.

For the /common/.../spacer.gif (and any other graphic that doesn't
"say" anything), it should be ALT="".

Please also put HEIGHT= and WIDTH= on every single graphic.

BROWSER COMPATABILITY
=====================
It seemed to work OK for Netscape 6.2, but Dr HTML notes the use of the
<SCRIPT TYPE=... > tag and attribute. It's not even understood by
Netscape 7.0; did you get that past the validator?

JAVASCRIPT
==========
Another general comment I'd make [to everyone] is develop without
javascript - have the server do all the work. When that works, add
javascript for convenience: things like focus points, mouseovers, field
validation.

But make sure you do an equal field validation at the server.

Hi,

Sorry, but I am no spammer at all. I just wanted to have some people opinion
on my website. I didn't mean to disturb you at all. I do not expect to get
any business by using spam.
