Although the intent of the site is one I support, the site itself is
awful. It doesn't carry the slightest hint of having been designed.
As you've used loads of fixed position <div> elements the page can't be
resized.
if the site works for your cause I guess it's fine, but IMHO it's not
pretty.

I think it's safe to blame the tool for everything that's wrong with
the design and code. These online (so-called) WYSIWYG editors are
pretty darned appealing to the poor saps who sign up for them. The
creators of these tools don't give a rat's arse about anything except
sucking these poor saps in. The saps obviously don't know any better,
if they did they surely wouldn't use tools like this.
BTW, I didn't realize the old GeoCities editor had evolved into this
abomination. Be afraid. What's worse is this abomination has a twin:
homestead.com.
