Keep in mind that my criteria is brutal simplicity.
No images allowed, only what I can achive with text and CSS.

I still don't care for the navigation links, and before I'm done, I do
believe that I will seperate the style of the navigation links from the
style of the body copy links.

I may have gone overboard with the small caps and the monospace font, but
since I don't have access to a tall, thin, spidery font (no images!) that's
about as close as I can come.

This is a really nice site, neat and original colour scheme,
and I like the clean, simple look. I wish I could do the same
but the site I do is huge and complex which makes it harder:-(

Your site is even better than the previous version. Only
improvement I can think of is make the body text some sort
of sans-serif font.Maybe you could make it taller and thinner
with css? Not sure if this is possible, I'll go look.

I like. Three niggles:

There seems to be quite a bit of wasted space on the right.

The navigation bar looks a little strange in both Opera 7 and Mozilla
(although different strangeness in each!)

I think your hover effect on the navigation menu should look different
from the style for li.active. Perhaps use the red from the "2.0" in your
logo?

I /like/ courier. As much as it get's maligned, it has a certain retro
typewriter.

Is english your first language, or did you just bypass math in school ;)
When something increases exponentialy, it means it's increasing by leaps
and bounds. :p

In some respects, so do I.
I'm just playing around with concepts.
BTW, could you compare and contrast what you liked/disliked to give me a
better idea where I'm running afoul?

Not strictly true. It means that each increase is bigger than the increase
before it. It's increasing faster and faster.

Logo in version 3 looks silly -- the yellow letters don't stand out as
much because they don't have the outline.

Small caps are overdone.

I like the nice green border containing the title in version 2.

The unneeded use of a fixed width font looks ugly. Yes I know this is my
fault, because I chose the particular monospace font to use, but my
monospace font is chosen to sacrifice prettiness for legibility, because
in most cases it's used for looking at source code examples, where the
difference between a 1, an l and a I can be very important!

It also feels less colourful.

More specifically, it means that the rate of increase is proportional to
the current value.
