Forget the code, since I know the group hate tables.
What about the look. Too colorfull maybe?

Thanks. I've given up Diablo 2 and taken up Mudding again, so I was
rather inspired.

fixed max width seems odd, but without looking at the markup ....

Multi-coloured words are difficult to read - otherwise the colours 'work'
just fine

"It's a one way channel for dialog" appears to be heading into oxymoron

I like the color, but the Gold does not work well with the green. Gold
against white is hard to read. Use green. I like the colors, though, by and
large.

Do something to that resume. It's dark and unreadable.

That header colour mix looks ...uck!
Look at the page in 1024 -- then decide whether your fixed page width might
look better centered on screen.
Who ever decided that the word 'webmaster' was an appropriate term?

Um, it's your own fault if it's unreadable. The resume is a plain text
file (resume.txt) that uses your browser default colors and fonts. If
you don't like how it looks, adjust your browser.

fair point, but a page can be designed to look classy and elegantly simple

I'm not sure what the problem is, but somehow it's not balanced. Maybe it's
the contrast between the exotic header and the rather dull menu or the black
lines. IMO there should be some relation between the elements. Maybe the
h2-heading should have the same color as the 'P' in h1.
I'm not a color specialist, but I think there's something wrong with the
color scheme :-(

That... I was undecided about.

I run 1024x768 and 32bit color; it looks fine to me.
What's with the obsession with centering? Centering is very unprofessional.
Thumb through the magazines at your local supermarket sometime.

I've never been that great with colors. I started with the strong 't' and
built off of that. The menu is...lacking. I haven't decided what to do
with it yet.

Brutally simple is what I was trying to achive.

As far as classy and elegant, that's a fair critique.

I am, however, limiting it only to what I can achive with plain text and
CSS.

That rather limits my options, now if I could just standardize fonts...
Hmmmm. Fonts... size...layers...colors.............Hmmmm.
I will get back to you. :)

An "artist" would know! you're not an "artist", but would like someone to
think you are?

Then stick with it!

If you don't know at this stage of your "artistic career", you never will!

The web bit is fine, but a master? ...very inappropriate when used on your
site!
