Question on clickable company logos

Was there a discussion here recently about company logos on Web pages? I
seem to recall such a discussion, in which at least one person suggested
that they were not a good idea.

I'm doing a Web review for a client, and I did not intuitively see that the
company logo would take me back to the home page. I'm going to suggest to
him that he include a text link as well, but I was curious about that
previous discussion, if anyone remembers.

There's (by reputation) a large number of web surfers that expect to find
clicking on the logo will take them back to the home/index page so I think
it's a good idea to include it. Another (more visually obvious) text link
will do no harm that I can see.
