Hi All,
Not that OT- I want a free webhost that supports ASP, and preferably SSI.
Its important to have FTP access and no adverts.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Er, how does this relate to the critique of HTML?

You would be better off over in alt.www.webmaster.

Cheers
Richard.

Speaking of "Free"
I heard a rumor somewhere that it (whatever) is only worth what ye pay for
it...
And: I just got a new computer, cheep, and that's exactly what its
worth--not much.
And not only that, its not three months old and already obsolete!

So, can I have a new --free-- compute every three months?

(and if you find a free ISP with free CGI, free forms handling, SSL, FTP and
free customer service, free multiple e-mail accounts and unlimited alias',
AND free ice-cream on hot days, would you let me know too?)

Well plenty of sarcastic replies - to be expected from the folks round here.
I did find some free ASP webspace, although only around 30-50MB with Webpage
upload instead of FTP.......

But its a step in the right direction

Hi Matt,

I think the comments are coming from the frustration of *everyone* wants
"something from nothing" and so how can *anyone make anything* from that
model? As competition undercuts prices, to say - nothing, how is anyone
else to get paid? :) The other situation is that your question isn't
related to this NG. And finally lets not forget that Usenet responses can
be often curt; however, I have found the webDes/Dev NG's to be quite tame
and lacking in petty grade school attacks that so many other NG's are
fraught with. So there were at least three things against your query!

I'm glad you found your free ASP hosting btw! :)

Yeah, sure. Would you like PHP, Python, a dedicated SONET line, and a
cavalcade of busty virgins to administer it as well?

If you want those things, you're going to have to pay for them, chum.

hold the PHP and the python, drop the cavalcade down to a bevy and you have
a sale

"Busty" would not be my choice.... my taste lean more to the long legged
'petite...' and I'm not wired for the cavalcade...
Still, if you can deliver to the Pacific Northwest USA, even if you're
talking dial-up, sign me on.
