Author importing XML data with diacritic characters in an MSWord 2003 document

Hi,

I=B4m using a word document as an xml-template by bookmarking certain
parts in the text and saving it as an xml-template. When I try to
import data in this template I get an error, but only when the data
contains diacriticcharacters (such as =E9, =F6, =EF, etc). The message:
The xml-file report could not be opened because there are problems with
the content. Illegal XML character..

Does anyone know of a way to work around this something? I guess it's a
bug in the way word interprets te data, but don't really know enough
about XML to actually find the root of the problem.

Regards, Sjoerd.

What character encoding are you using?
For those characters you probably need to use iso-8859-1.
