| I have inserted and linked a video to my Web page...the player appears in the
window but the movie will not play. All files have been uploaded to a
friends site and I have checked the link and the file/folders but it just
won't play.
If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
I am using Publisher 2003 on XP.

Maybe your friend does not allow hot linking.

| Perhaps you are just not waiting for the file to download. Video files can
be quite large. Have you tried right clicking the link, and saving the file
to your computer? If that doesn't work, then your link is probably written
incorrectly.
