Oh, fyi, just undoing synchronization doesn't shut it off permanently. The
boxes are just synchronized again the next time I try to enter anything in
one. So, anytime I make any change in any boxes that the system has decided
to synchronize it makes the change in all the boxes, thus destroying my work
if I miss undoing it.

If you don't want synchronization at all, then don't use the wizards that
have that feature. Reference your original message.
