Author problem with adding video to publisher.

I have Publisher 2003 and I am trying to put video on my web site. I can do
it with the 2000 version but when I copied it to a disk to send and get put
on the internet I decided to make sure that it would work. So I previewed
the file on publisher 2003 the links did not work. When I previewed it on the
computer I had made it on the links worked fine. I insert the video under
insert object. Then I select the file and it put on a link. What can i do to
get the video on the CD? Please help.

You don't insert a video into a Publisher web publication...you insert a
link to where you have the file on your website. If you want to put it all
on a CD, then you would write the link to where you put the video on the CD.

Ok so if I made the link and put the video on the CD my administrator could
just drag it all on to our server to put on the web? would I just link to the
file on my hard drive and then just the file onto the CD with the Publication
it would keep the link?

If you upload your video to your web host, and write the link to it from
your Publisher web page, then that link isn't going to work on a CD, as the
file is not there. I haven't done it, but I think you will need to write two
different versions of your site, and in the CD version, direct the link to
the video file you also burn on the CD. You might want to use a rerecordable
CD until you figure it out. But no, to your question, I don't think you will
be able to upload the version on the CD and get it to function correctly.

Yes, I think that I will have to create two different versions. I will try it
and inform you on the resalt.

P.S. I am signed in under a different accout.

Thank you

You might also write a relative link to the media file and get that to work
in both mediums...
