Author RIGHT HALF OF WEB PAGE PREVIEW BLANK

I am designing a website in Microsoft Publisher. How do I get the text and
images I have placed in the design to cover the whole webpage when opened in
the Internet Explorer Web Page Preview? In Publisher my design covers the
entire page and looks fine. However, when opened in Internet Explorer for
the Web Page Preview, the background covers the whole page as it should, but
all the text and images I have placed on the Publisher webpage design appear
on the left-hand side of the Web Page Preview, covering only about 50% of the
available area displayed, as if I had left the right half of the page
completely blank. All that is displayed on the right half of the opened page
is the background.

Publisher created websites by default are left justified. The only version
of Publisher that I am aware of that can be altered to Center is Publisher
2000. The html code <center> can be inserted but must be done each time you
update the html files.

Hi Don,
I have the same problem..So how do I go about inserting the <center> to fix
it. I recently upgraded to pub 2003...very dissapointed.. I searched the
ofline help for HTML and many others to find my answer but came up with
nothing. Thank you in advance for an answer to clearly a design 101
question....

I use Publisher 2000 for my website creation and this centering operation
works outstandingly. Pub 2000 only.
You will need the little free program, ReplaceInFiles.

"ReplaceInFiles" can be downloaded from:

<http://www.emurasoft.com/index.htm>

The four boxes require the following information:

Find: <head>
Replace with: <head> <center>
File Types: *.html
In Folder:
(use the button to go to the folder where the html files are located on your
drive)

The bottom four boxes can be left blank.

Note: Once the boxes are filled out, the entries are retained for the next
time you use the program.
