I've created the site http://www.karpathos-hellas.com and when using IE, all
links are visible, however, that's not the case if I use FF. I'm using Arial
black for the side navigation bar and will look into using another typeface,
hopefully that might fix the problem. I have also created a bottom navigation
bar, which works fine in FF, I just need to check whether I used a different
font type.

To validate my site, I used http://validator.w3.org/ and it found 100
errors. I have not modified any of the code that Publisher 2007 generated and
therefore, perplexed as to why they are found in the first place.

Can someone shed some light on both issues? Thanks!

I don't think it has anything to do with the font. Arial is web friendly.

Did you use the Publisher navbar wizard to create the vertical side navbar?

If it is hand built as you did the bottom navbar, try ungrouping all the
components of the navbar.

Hi David,

It's hand built. I will ungroup the navbar and try it with FF. I'll let you
know. Thanks for your help!

David,

Arial is web safe but Arial Black is not. However, there should not be
much difference and as you said, it would not affect links.

Most of the errors the validator reports don't affect browsers. However,
I noticed your forum is setup in your cgi-bin. This is not a good idea -
it should be in its own folder.

Can someone suggest/explain why if I'm not modifying any code that Publisher
generates the validator http://validator.w3.org/ found 100errors?

A Publisher web will never validate.

Mike,

I installed the forum software according to the instructions provided. The
instructions stated to create the cgi-bin directory and place the forum
software in it. So...I only followed the "creators" instractions. :)

Hi,

I went to your site and it seems like you were able to resolve this issue,
Please do let me know how you were able to resolve this. As I am facing the
similar issue in firefox on my site www.indoeurocardiologycourse.com

Not sure to which of the two issues you're referring. If you're referring to
the FF issue, look at DavidF response to my original post. If it's the
latter, I ignored the errors the validator identified.

Thansk for your quick response.
Yes I was referring to the Firefox issue. However in my case I am using the
Publisher Navigation bar, In my case if you go to site
www.indoeurocardiologycourse.com on IE and Firefox, then in Firefox nothing
including images are not even shown.
What could the potential issue, I am stuck and it will be great if you can
help me on this.

Did you group the navigation bar? If you did, ungroup it. I was able to
create a Navigation Bar and see it in both IE & FF.
