Thank david, i was able to upload successfully the index of the web site
which was filtered html, but the other pages still remained as a publisher
file, which is a bit of a bind as the main info is on those pages.
I am a new commer to web publishing and find it challenging but am
determined to get it right. Geocities site is fine, the problem lays with my
end at the moment.
Thanks again, any input is appreciated.

It sounds like you just aren't uploading the index_files folder. Reference
these articles about uploading:

If however you have uploaded the index_files folder and the links do not
open the pages other than you home page, it could be another problem. In
that case, post the URL of your website, and we will take a look.
