Author HTML Code Fragment Placement

I have inserted a Drop Down Navigation Bar (Coffee Cup) via HTML Code
Fragment, ALL is working fine, all links work BRILLIANT.
I am having problems placing the new menu bar in the right place on the place.
Perviously with Code Fragment, i have move the code around the page, & fine
tuned it by web preview.
With this new code it will not move above 3/4 up the page.
Is it some thing to do with page set up size.
I am stumbed as to why when i move the code around the page it always
remains in the same place.
Many thanks

It is hard to visualize what you are saying, but perhaps you are overlapping
the code fragment box which could cause it to shift. The code fragment box
can not overlap another design element. Perhaps run the Design Checker to
see if that picks up your error. HTH

I have generated a code for a drop down menu, which i have inserted it with
HMTL Code Fragment, i have serveral codes inserted on my page, most are
invisible for removing underscore to hyperlinks etc, 2 are for my visit
counters, they do not interfere or overlap any other.
I can move the code boxes for these around the page & and they move the
published icons (When previewed / Up loaded), but with this new code, no
matter where i place the code box, it still appears & remains in the same
place, when previewed, i can move the code box around the page, but it has no
effect on where it appears on preview.
Is there a line in the code i should look at, to move the menu bar, With all
pervious code fragments, they appear roughly where you place them on the
page, abiet with a bit of tweeking by using web preview.
David no matter what i do this new nav bar will not move, it appear in the
same place all the time, Design checker did not bring up any faults.
Cheers

If you are using CoffeCups DHTML menu software, go to the options tab. You
see a number of settings that can be changed on the left side of the options
screen, this is how you position the menu of your page by changing the
settings. Menu top and menu left change the position on the page.

Brelade,

I haven't tried CC for Nav bars but have you checked the html code in
it? Perhaps it lists its position on the page and this is overriding
your attempts to move it? CC has a great support team, have you asked them?

Michael.
Thank you very much for firstly, a few days pointing me in the direction of
CoffeCups, & for the info for fine tuning its page postioning, It is roughly
where i want it now, but by only being able to move it's postion by full
points, i.e by whole numbers, it's not totally exact, do you have any tricks
to fine tune it, or i will just move the page borders to line up, also is
there any way to remove the box borders, on the options i can't see (NO Box
Border)
Thanks

Mike.
Micheal in the previous message has pointed me in the right direction, It
just initally throw me as with all perious Code Fragments you could drag the
code around the page to postion it where you wanted, and fine tune it with
web preview, this code just remained in the same place, regardless of what
else i did.
Micheal, Mike & David Thanks for your input.
I am sure i still have many questions for you over the next coming weeks,
it's amazing what time off work does to you.
Cheers

Go to menu color and change the border color to the color of your background.

As far as the fine tuning; you would have to edit the code snippet. Look
for VAR StartTop= and VAR StartLeft= and change the values of your number by
..5 depending on which way you want to go and see what happens.

Micheal
Ref: Border colour, is it possible to select just one side of the border
colour like you can do with tables, at present when selecting boarder colour
it highlights the whole box, what i would like to do is just choose the
colour for side side, like inserting a pipe character, to seperate the
different links, but without putting a colour around the whole area, when i
select my background colour, it removes the boarder between links.
Can you point me in the right direction in the code to change this if
possible.
Cheers

Take a look at www.shamrockpubinc.com and tell me if this is what you are
talking about even though the menu is vertical.

I love the color scheme and layout of that site. But why oh why did the
designer make it more that 800 pix wide?

No, what i would like to do is seperate the links by dividing them by just
highlighting the following portion of the border eg. Home | Cocker Spaniels |
Links etc.
Can i choose what part of the border i can highlight with colour.
At present it is all or nothing, if you know what i mean.

What you are asking is not possible that I can tell; I've looked at the code
and it's kind of nothing or all. CC might be able to help but it would
probably still require editing the code and that can be dangerous.

Brelade,

Have you thought about using a table? With a little coding, you can make
cells look however you wish.
