I have placed an HTML code fragment into my web page, and the link works;
however, it shows up on my web page as a small box with a red x in it. What
am I doing wrong?

you have an img tag in the html code, the browser renders the red x in place
of the image because you don't have the image in the location specified by
the img tag.
