Front Page compatibility with Publisher

| Hi. I create and manage web pages for an association and I use Front Page.
I then create a Newsletter via Front Page and post it on the web. I then
email the Newsletter to the assn membership, but I have to use Publisher
because Front Page doesn't do emails, I guess? Is there a way to make
Publisher accept the Newsletter and all formatting? When I have tried to
open an html page (made with Front Page) in Publisher without having the
formatting get all messed up? I am posting this on both Publisher and Front
Page discussion groups. Thanks for any help :)

| Stick with FrontPage...you should be able to email a newsletter, and
hopefully the folks at the FrontPage newsgroup can help you with that. The
code is way different in the two programs, and do not mix well.

| Since you have FrontPage and Publisher, why would you do the newsletter in
FP? You could be creating the newsletter with Publisher and then posting it
as a .pdf file on your website. Send your membership an email telling them
the newsletter is available on the website. This will keep their mailboxes
from getting filled with a single file. Not everyone checks their email as
obsessively as others (translation: me).

| I do the Newsletter in FP to post it on the web. I then have to do it in
Publisher because the email format doesn't get messed up. The membership
with dial up wants the Newsletter emailed; they do not want to check it on
the internet and wait for all the links to download; I think they check their
email accounts so they just see what's on the server, as opposed to waiting
for all the links to download on the web (FP Newsletter). I use links and
animations in the FP E-News and want the emailed one to at least appear the
same. It is a real pain to try and duplicate! :)

| You can compose your email newsletter in FP as a "loose" page, then use that
to build your newletter in Outlook EXPRESS (not Outlook) - that's one easy
way of doing it.
