Hi David Barthosik. Re Publisher 2003)This is from Claude, re
embedding/linking MP3's. I am r rather frustrated with Microsoft that they
did'nt see this coming (the fact that MP3's are so much smaller than .wav,
therefore much more practical to use... I wonder why on earth they did not
design Publisher to cater for this. Also, I tried what you said first, (link,
don't embed) in frustration, because it does'nt work. When finished linking
and I preview, nothing happens. When I run the page live off the web, still
nothing happens, which is the very reason why I decided to do some research.

WHY are you surprised that a desktop publishing program can't handle all
facits of web design?

Claude,

You can link to the files if you write the links correctly. If you want to
preview the audio file, then you need to write an absolute link to the file
on your site, and be connected to the internet when you preview your web
page. If you use a relative link to the audio file, it would only work from
the posted web page. And in both cases, you would have to wait for the file
to download, which could take a long time with a dial-up connection...and
you would have to have a player or plugin installed on your computer that
would support the format. Review the article by David Bartosik again about
