how do I hyperlink to files excel or pdf on the same pc

I have not published my web site but need to open a pdf file and excel from
my web page. I have stored the file in my pc but it will not link to it.

You need to upload your pdf or excel file to your website, and link to it.
PDF files will load automatically if the Acrobat Reader is installed. Read
