Author Web site registration

I created my publisher website - www.rosslynalternatives.co.uk - in late
November. Lycos has an automatic search engine registration facility and I
used this to promote the site. But I also registered individually with one
or two, for example, Google. The site now appears in altavista and yahoo
searches. But for some reason it STILL doesn't seem to show up in Google
seaches. Oddly enough I have searched on Google once or twice and it HAS
shown up. But I am not sure if this is just because the site is in my
history folder. It's well over 8 weeks since I registered. Could I have done
something wrong? Should I re-register with Google. Or are they just taking a
long time?

actually I believe yahoo uses google.
but I'm no expert on search engines.
a discussion on search engines would be OT for this forum anyway.
I can only suggest that you research the topic on suitable forums or speak
to a expert in that field.
You can google on "search engine optimization" to get you started.
