| Sheila,
Most APIs are done via a Shopping cart, such as Mal's e-commerce.

Hi, thanks for your input!
Now...is it too difficult to deal with it myself? How do I install step by
step this api with a shopping cart? Let's say using paypal?
Thanks in advance!

| Sheila,
I don't believe you need any APIs if you are using PP directly. When I
used them, I was using Mal's e-commerce as my shopping cart and PP as
the payment service. The API told PP to take the info provided by Mal's
and what to do with it.
Mal has instructions on his site to tell you what APIs to add and how to
do it.

Thank you for your help... let me ask you, when the purchase is completed
(using paypal) is there any link that bring you back to your website? Could I
see your web?
Thanks again,
Sheila

| Sheila,
You would need to set up a Continue Shopping link in PayPal. But that is
before the checkout is completed. PP requires a confirmation page that
customers go to after making a payment. What you can do is set it up (PP
has suggested wording) using your theme, then put a Redirect Link in it
so visitors automatically go back to your page. I don't use a continue
shopping button in any of my sites - I sell classified advertising in my
paper (www.valleycat.net/submit.html), Greeting cards that will be
published in the paper (www.valleycat.net/greetings.html) and
subscriptions. But I do use a Thank You page with a redirect.
