Author JPEG On page

I took a digital JPEG photo to use on a web page created in Publisher. I
put it on the home page and have the page on the web. Other pages I used
from another site (with permission) load quick, but the digital picture I
took loads very slow. Any ideas how to speed this up. I'm a newby.
Thanks
WWV
