I use Publisher for designing and publishing my website. The pictures I put
in to it look fine in the design stage, but once published to the web the
quality degrades considerably. I am using jpg files. Any suggestions?

When you insert a picture instead of clicking on the insert button, click on
the arrow pointing down (right beside it) and choose LINK TO FILE...this will
give you much better quality pictures on your website.
