I am trying to make a botton in Microsoft Publisher and to link it to an mp3
file so visitors can download a sample song.

You can also Insert > Design Gallery Object > Web Buttons.

In Pub 2000 you can use the Clip Gallery Tool to insert a button.

You can also Google for Web buttons to find endless sources of buttons.
