I have a little dilemna slash question. The company I work
for has a pretty extensive web-site, and also extensive
policies for posting to the web-site. I was wondering, is
it possible to do the following:

I created a calendar in Publisher 2002, and wanted to
upload it to my company web-site, but here's the catch. Is
there anyway to simply upload the "publisher.pub" file,
and then have some sort of script or applet on the server
side conver it? Since web-rights and access privileges get
kind of sticky.

You shouldn't upload the pub file for many reasons, such as
- only someone with Publisher could open it.
- if they had Pub they could edit it.
- size of file.

since this is an online use you should just save it as a web - File menu,
save as web (2002)/export as web (2002 SP1/SP2/SP3), {convert to web first
if need be} - and then upload the web files.

alternatively you could just save it as an image file and post that - File,
save as (pick an image type).

You forgot a very important reason why they shouldn't do that - they may not
be allowed to do it. If "web-rights and access privileges get kind of
sticky", then something tells me it's against company policy to do what you
want to do.
