Publisher - Hyperlink problem - HELP!
|

| Hi,
PLEASE HELP - I am so frustrated because I know that I am
doing something so silly but I can't figure it out. I
created a website using Publisher and I thought I was
getting pretty good at making changes. However, recently
when I have attempted to add a picture with a hyperlink,
the link points to a completely different websit(although
it is one that currently appears elsewhere on my site)
Here is what I do: I choose Insert Picture, I choose the
picture from my file, I place it on my page, then I right
mouse click on my picture, choose hyperlink and then type
in the destination, then OK. When I place my pointer on
the picture when I am finished, the pop up shows the
correct destination. I am beyond frustrated and would
appreciate your help.
Thanks!

| Always state version in use when posting. Most the time it makes a
difference.
Do you have an object on the page behind the picture or any object layered
with it?
Look for such and see if that has a hyperlink also. That is the most likely
cause.

| Hi,
I am using Microsoft Office Publisher 2003. I don't
think that I have anything layered. Also, the site that
my new hyperlinks keep going to is an html code on my
site. Is there someplace in Publisher where it may be
checked to save certain settings that may be causing
this? I hope this information helps, and thanks for
responding.

| Hi David,
What I have done is remove the html code that was causing
the problem on my site and that has so far taken care of
the problem. What I am doing is selling "ad space" and
placing banners on my site. For some reason, I could
not "save" this certain banner so I inserted it as an
html code instead. I am thinking that somewhere I have to
change my settings or something, but I have yet to come
across it anywhere. I am just going to try to stay away
from html codes if I can. If I come across this problem
again, I will check back - and I will reference this
email as well. If you want to check out the site to see
what I am talking about, you can find it at
http://www.mystickerclub.com.
Thanks again,
Carrie
