David responded recently to Peggy:
"that is not supported either.
both techniques require you to have table control.
Publisher doesn't afford you that.
But then it's not an html editor, nor a web design tool"

Since when? A few years agp when I paid Microsoft
bCentral to host my website, they sent me Microsoft
Publisher 2000 for me to use to design my website. It
sure was a "web design" tool then.

And right now, on the MS Publisher website, MS
says: "Publisher 2003, the Office business publishing
and marketing materials program, helps you reach out to
customers with impressive sales and marketing materials
for print, Web, and e-mail. Create, design, and publish
with impact using powerful design tools, customizable
templates, and the familiar Office environment. With all
the tools you need in one place, you can achieve quick,
impressive results, in-house."

They seem to be proud of its design tools.

The below claims, and others, are the basis for a class action suit presently
being planned (not by me, but by others with the time to fool with it). It is
interesting that the MVPs in here are always blaming users for being dumb enuff
to use Publisher for a commercial website. They seem to think we are
sufficiently clairvoyant to not believe M$'s claims about what Publisher is fit
to do.
