Thank you so much David for all your assitance, but I am still having
problems; now different ones. I went through your tutorial and tried again
to upload my Web site several times with no success.

My Web host tech wiped out my site and reinstalled Front Page extensions as
they may have been corrupted. I tried again to upload. No luck. Called back
and learned that I have 2 files on the server. One is a publisher file, the
other an html file.

Now, when I try to click on save I get the message "You cannot save the file
you selected. The folder you selected is not an actual system location".

Please help!!

In the future please update the original thread rather than start up a new
one so that issues/discussions can be followed easily.

If you have FP extensions on the site you must upload in http only as my
tutorial states. Use of ftp on FP extensions will corrupt them.

Are you following the instructions for ftp or http?

I'm not aware of any such error message. Are you publishing to the server or
to your pc?

If you are publishing to the server are you publishing to the directory the
host instructed you to and are you using the login info they provided you?

You may need to post back with a detail of the steps you are going thru and
state at what point you have what specific error and state the url you are
using.

So sorry about the post. After reading FTP Troubles, I thought I would post
with my uploading problems. Anyway, I so much appreciate the time you have
spent helping me with all the Pub2000 problems. You have really been great.

After posting my desperate message and calling my Web host company several
times, I went back into my Pub2000 Web site and started exploring the tool
bar for anything to help me. It didn’t take me long to realized that I had
been trying to save to my PC and not my Web folder. I was able to upload the
entire site and it is perfect (except for a few editing mistakes).

Your question “Are you publishing to the server or to your pc?” was right on
the mark.

I do feel like a dummy, but maybe my mistake will help others. So, here is
my advice: Make sure you click on Save As a Web Page. It makes things a lot
easier!!

Once again, David, thank you for all your help. You truly offer an
invaluable service.

Until the next problem,
Janice
