Author Interactive Buttons replacing my links - New User

Hello,

I am NEW to programming, so please be patient with my explanation.
I am using Front Page 2003. When I created my interactive buttons, I had to
save the jpg buttton image to photobucket because they kept on going missing
when I would try to upload my template to the web. They would work, but the
image button wouldn't display (I think because it was saved to me computer?).

Anyway, after I saved them to photobucket they showed up ok. Well when I
need to make a change on my template on front page, and save, it asks me if i
want to change the embedded files. What exactly does this do??? Well it
doesn't matter because I have tried to do both, saving and not saving, but it
still overwrites my http image to photobucket. I automatically can see that
they replace my image with a C:/ file.
What am I doing wrong????

Do you have a web site opened before you start editing pages? FrontPage
changing URLs to file locations is a sign of editing loose page (pages
not in an open web).
