hyperlink to reg file??
|
|
|
| Hi,
I want to make a reg file a hyperlink that I can run when I click on it - so
I want it to behave as an .exe with the run/save options. How can I do
this, I currently just get page not found when I click on the link.
Thanks,
Lisa

| You can not run a .reg file from a hyperlink.
You can only download it.

| That means the file is not on the server.

| It is on the server, but when I had the file with xxx.reg I got the error
page not found, for now I have renamed it xxx.doc and now when I click on it
I can save it and then rename it to fix the extension.

| Ah Ok.
Then that means the mime type for the .reg file extension has not been set on the server.
You're host would need to do that, unless you have a web masters CPanel as part of your
hosting package.
