Playing WMV files in FrontPage

It seems that using the "Insert" Video, adding the Active X control
allows the user to use the "Seek" function in the video. This is great
for going to the exact spot in the video. When I use a button and link
to the .wmv file, It works fine except you lose the "Seek" ability. The
reason I choose the link method is because you don't have to define a
video window, saving lots of room on the page.
Question: Is there a way to use the Active X control while still using
the link?
Thanks for any help. IZOD
