Office 2007 Conflict?
|
|
| frontpagecustoms.com 2007-02-08, 6:16 pm |
| Are there any known conflicts with MS Office 2007 (Particularly
Access) and Front Page 2003? After an upgrade to MSO2007 Pro I'm
having some difficulty publishing... just trying to troubleshoot.

| No conflicts that I have found. Office 2007 (including Access and
SharePoint Designer), Expression Web, and FP2003 all coexist with no
problems.

| Any ideas of why I can't log on to publish. It's acting like either
the FP server extension are having a problem, or it's not recognizing
my password. I have communicated with my web host and they assure me
everything is OK, but I still can't log in.
My other sites hosted at the same location are working just fine,
something got tweeked and now I can't do anything.
Any help you have would be appreciated.
Thanks

| 4 things to try:
1) Download FP Cleaner from http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm
Run the clear hidden temporary files and Clear web cache files routines.
See if that helps. Occasionally a corrupted cache file is the cause,
but it is more likely to be a server problem.
2) Ask your host to run Check Server Health on your site, correcting
all permissions.
3) Ask your host to change your password. This may correct whatever
has broken
4) If the above fail, remove, then reinstall the extensions. This is a
last resort, and will remove any subwebs and unique permissions your
site may have - these will have to be restored by hand.
