Author Odd problem - URL not opening

Hi

I have taken over a site. The host does
not support FP server extensions.

FTP the site last night.

Noticed that when I try to open the
site without "www" the browser reports "Done"

But the site has not loaded.

If I add the www i.e. www.capital-storage.co.uk
the site loads as it should.

Other sites I deal with do not have this problem.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I am using IE7.

Thanks in advance.

It depends on how the domain name was added to the domain name servers by the hosting company.
it can be added with and without www. It appears that capital-storage was only added with the www.

Even though it was only added as www.capital-storage.co.uk ftp://capital-storage.co.uk
will still work. That is normal
