Author Frames - Jump to other pages

Hi:

I am having some problems with my frames setup. I know, the world hates
frames, but it is very practical for my purposes. I have 2 frames (left,
main) in my index page. After clicking "Join" in my left frame, open a
"Comment" page in the main frame. Users then click "Pay Online" submit
button. Here is where the problems start. Because the payment page is on
another server, the pages are all in PERL (.cgi). After a few pages, the
user can click a button "Return to Merchant". The next few pages are mine
and are still in PERL. Currently, all these pages open in the "main" frame.
I want a new window (page) to open after clicking "Pay Online". Continue
the process until the last page, close the window, and then open a
"finished" page way back in my "main" frame. Is this possible? I can get
the new window to pop open, but after all the processing, I can't get the
last part to work. I was looking at history and parent documents, but I
still can't figure it out. Any help with this would greatly be appreciated.

TIA

I think the easiest way would be to make it so when you want the new page
just make it _parent and then when you get to the last page when you want it
to go to your frame page with a finished page on main frame. Create a new
"frames" page that has main frame set to your finished page and continue on
from there
