Is there a way to have an audio file played when you click on a picture
without a player opening? Example, click on a nativity scene and hear Oh Holy
Child without anything on the page changing.

Only with Flash I believe unless you want to play a midi file which is very
outdated.

Some kind of event must be used to load and play the file and the Flash
ActiveX control can play swf audio files without displaying a 'player' but
it would still require using an application such as Flash itself with
ActionScript.

Thanks to you both, I'll approach it both ways and see what works.

Mike's EZ & Cheasy method...
-Current page we will call nomusic.htm for simplicity sake.
-Copy the nomusic page and call the new one yesmusic.
-Set page properties on yesmusic to have the selected audio
play in the background
-Set link on the image in yesmusic to goto nomusic and vice
versa

That works fine with IE but not with the other browsers I have tried.
I still can't figure out aother way to do this. I guess I don't know enough
about Java and Flash, every thing I try ends up with the same problem.
