FP2003: how do I get a Spanish mark over an English letter?
|
|
| Trish@nym.alias.net 2007-09-23, 3:15 am |
| This is really stupid... I've done this before many years
ago. How do I get the Tilda over the n in senor? ....
and how do I get the exclamation point? over the o in
confirmation?
I know how to type a document in Spanish but I sure
don't know how to type a document in English that
just has one or two words in Spanish.
I'm ashamed to be asking this question since I know
it was very easy the last time I had to do it.
Can anyone just point me to the right direction?
Thank you.

| Please ignore the question below.... I found the answer.
(It really was a dumb question.)

| Sorry Padito,
I just figured everyone knew Windows and in general all PC
stuff better than I. I went to the Windows 'Accessibility' menu
and selected the 'character map' and then selected the char-
acter I needed and copied it. Then went to the FrontPage docu-
ment where I needed the Spanish character replacement and
issued the paste to replace my English o with the spanish o
with the punctuation mark. Hope this makes sense. This
solved the problem for me.
Thank you for taking the time to make a point that I hadn't
thought about when making my prior post.

| Thanks Rob,
This is the solution I was originally looking for... I knew I did
it in FrontPage but I couldn't remember how and I found the
solution I used from Windows when I couldn't find it in FrontPage.
Thank you and thanks Padito for both replies.

| Yer Welcome!
BTW, it's a tilde or diacritic mark - TildA was my wicked with of the north
english teacher in the 7th grade who made us diagram sentences till our
fingers bled :-)

BIG GRIN:
Rob, you're bringing back old memories of Catholic Grade School....
I wasn't sure anyone even remembered the word 'diacritic', and I
knew it wasn't a 'tilda' but I didn't know what to call it.
God bless you.... or whatever higher being you believe in.
