Author Fading coulder border??

Im looking to put a border down each side of my pages which fades as it gets
into the page...a bit like the orange one at the bottom here but I want it to
run down the sides...Is it possible and how???

Using an image editor, such as PaintShop Pro, you could create a 'gradient
image' and use it as the background for your page or table - like this:

That is exactly what I want in the first link.... so I will have a play
