things move and disapear when I preview

| I'm really new to Frontpage, but work with business software applications and
excel extensively, so I thought FP would be easy...
I have Frontpage 2003. I am creating a site with (eventually) 5 or 6 pages -
I've laid out two pages so far. i have a narrow top and left frame which
don't cause me a problem.
The main frame is where the content is going - I read that using a table is
a good way to lay the page out and get things where you want them, so on the
home page I have a table with 3 cells accross and 2 cells down.
In some of these cells I have placed text in a text box. In others I have
tried inserting pictures (photos) and I've placed them directly into the cell
and also into a text box within the cells (without text)
When I preview, some of the text moves to different places on the screen,
one of the pictures disapears and some of the text items disapear
I'm sure I must be doing something really stupid, but I have tried it
several times and can't get it to preview how I have laid it out
any suggestions much appreciated

| Don't use Text Boxes...or anything on the Draw toolbar either - they use VML
and absolute positioning, aside from the fact that they are basically IE
proprietary.
Just put your text directly in the table cell.

| I have deleted the text boxes, and typed some text directly into the table
cells
looks ok in design page, but the text still disappears completely when
previewed
