Author New website Uploads my whole desktop!!!

If anyone could please help.
I am redoing a website I made for my company a couple of years ago. I am
still using FP 2002.
The problem I am having is that everytime I try to upload to my host server,
FP seems to want to take everything that I have on my desktop with it!!
I have the web saved in a folder on my desktop, but I am unsure how to tell
FP how to look in just that folder.
Is there some thing that I am forgetting here?
Any help would be greatly apreciated.

That folder, if it is a web folder, will have a blue globe on it. Open FP,
then File | Open Web/Site and open the web folder containing your web...then
Publish it to your remote server.
