| You don't need to be concerned. Just publish the new version of index.htm
to overwrite the old one. You don't need to delete the old index.htm file
to publish the new one.

| When you publish with FrontPage the time taken to overwrite the page is
milliseconds. FP uploads the file with a temporary file name such as
..index.htm.tmp and when uploaded, renames the file to index.htm
The time it takes to kill the original and rename the new is the only
opening that visitors have without a home page - a few thousandths of a
second.
You should also turn off directory browsing on the server - the users will
then get a 403 error instead of a folder listing.
