HTML from Word opens in Word, not FP
|
|
| Harvey 2005-11-23, 6:30 pm |
| I have a client that sends certain files to be by email as Word documents.
Even though there is much extraneous stuff left in the html, I find that
opening the file in Word, then saving as 'Web Page, filtered' is
advatageous. After creating the html page, I import into FP and create a
link to it.
The problem is that once I have imported the page, I need to do some minor
changes to it (change the background color, for instance). When I
double-click on the page in FP, it opens in Word instead. Draging it into
the editing window works, as does right-clicking and choosing 'Open
With...'.
I don't understand this. Other html opens in FP, why not these? Once I make
the changes and save them, the page opens in FP just fine.
Any ideas how to change this behavior?
Thanks,
Harvey

| I think: Tools | Options | Configure Editors...drop down to html...and
unselect the ccheck box at the bottom about opening in program that created
them...something like that.

| Thanks, but had no effect. Actually, when I double click, nothing happens. I
was mistaken when I said Word opened.
